Supported Hardware, Firmware and Operating System

Information for the latest version of FieldLink is provided below. For information specific to an earlier version of FieldLink, refer to the release notes PDF for that version. You can download the PDF from the release notes page for that version.

This version of FieldLink works with the following firmware combinations:

  • RTS573, RTS655, RTS673 - Firmware: C10.13.6
  • RTS771, RTS773, RTS873 - Firmware: B3.13.6
  • Ri - Firmware: 3.2.349
  • SPS Series - Firmware: C10.13.6
  • RPT600 - Firmware: R1.1.33
  • R8s - Firmware: 5.61
  • SPS986 - Firmware: 6.28 (Package includes 5.68 & 6.28)
  • R780 - Firmware: 6.28 (Package includes 5.68 & 6.28)
  • R780-2 - Firmware: 6.28 (Package includes 5.68 & 6.28)
  • X7 - Firmware: R2.5.201
  • X9 Classic - Firmware: R1.1.1.0263
  • X9 Core and Premium - Firmware: R1.1.1.0263
  • DA2 - Firmware: 1.70

The firmware can be installed from Trimble Installation Manager or your local service provider. To install the new firmware, follow the instructions given by the firmware update tool. For best results, connect your PC directly to the instrument via the USB cable.

This version of FieldLink software works with the following controllers:

  • Trimble T100 (Windows OS updates ongoing via Microsoft)
  • DTR301Y 10.1” Tablet (Windows OS updates ongoing via Microsoft)
  • Trimble T10 (Windows OS updates ongoing via Microsoft)
    • Does not support X9

  • Trimble T10X (Windows OS updates ongoing via Microsoft)

    • FieldLink v6.8 and newer supports all instruments except RPT600

  • Panasonic FZ-M1 (Windows OS updates ongoing via Microsoft)

    • No scan module support
    • Does not support X7 or X9
  • Trimble T10X (2024) (Windows OS updates ongoing via Microsoft)
    • FieldLink version v6.9 and newer supports X7, X9, RTS, Ri, SPS986, R780, R780-2
    • FieldLink versions v6.8 and older support X7, X9 and RTS

This version of FieldLink software works with the following Windows OS:

  • Windows 11 - only tested with T100, PC, T10x (2024).
  • Windows 10 (PC, T10, T10x, T100, and DTR301Y)

This version of Field Link software is compatible with the following Coordinate System Manager

  • Coordinate System Manager Version: 3.10.3.0
  • Database version: 110
