Assigning users to the On Demand service

You can assign users to your On Demand account as required. Users consume 1 hour of the On Demand service at a time. There is no limit to the number of named users that can be assigned to your On Demand account.

You can add users to Trimble License Manager before you assign them to the On Demand account, or at the same time. If you are assigning several users at once, It is faster to add the users first and then assign them.

Trimble Catalyst On Demand users require a Trimble Identity account to sign in to Trimble Mobile Manager to be able to use the Catalyst On Demand service. Users who do not have a Trimble Identity can create one from the Welcome email notification they receive, or from the Trimble Mobile Manager app.

To assign existing users to the On Demand account, you must have already added the details for each user to Trimble License Manager.

  1. In the Catalyst On Demand tile, click ADD NAMED USERS and then select Existing Users.

  2. Select the check box next to each user you want to assign the license to.

    If there are a large number of users in Trimble License Manager for your account you may need to use the arrows to move to another page.

    To filter the list, begin typing the email address of a user in the Search users field at the top of the list. The list of users is filtered as you type, to display a smaller set of existing users. To clear the filter, click the X at the end of the search field.

  3. When you are done selecting users, click ASSIGN USERS.

To assign a user whose details you have not yet added to Trimble License Manager to the On Demand account.

  1. In the Catalyst On Demand tile, click ADD NAMED USERS and then select New User.
  2. In the Assign New User dialog, enter the name and email address of the new user.

  3. Click ASSIGN NEW USER.

  4. Repeat for each user that you want to add to the account.

To allow anyone who has an email address ending in the same domain as your email address to access and use your Catalyst On Demand account, select the Share pool with everyone at [your email domain] switch and then click Share pool. Any user with an email address that matches your email domain (for example, username@yourcompanyname.com) will be able to access and use hours from your Catalyst On Demand account (once they have created a Trimble Identity account), without needing to be explicitly added as a named user on the account. This feature is only available for private company/enterprise email domains, and cannot be used with public/free email domains (such as @gmail.com or @yahoo.com).

To stop sharing the pool with anyone with the same domain email address, deselect the Share pool with everyone at [your email domain] switch and then click Stop sharing.

To remove a user from Catalyst On Demand account, click REMOVE USER next to the user's name and then in the confirmation dialog click REMOVE.
