These Release Notes describe the new features and changes available in this release of the Trimble Perspective software.

New features and enhancements

Specify station indexing

Define the starting station index number during project setup. This avoids having duplicate station numbers when merging projects.

Panorama position and orientation parameters

Export a .csv file containing the panorama position and orientation parameters to visualize in image viewing software.

Export high quality panorama images

Export project high quality panorama images from Perspective in a JPEG format for TZF and TDX exports.

Change station label from triangle menu

Quickly navigate to the labels for a given station from the menu accessed through the station triangle.

Registration notification duration

The notification duration for successful registration is increased from 3 seconds to 6 seconds.

Z+F converter

Internal improvements to library ZFLib for the Trimble X12.

The released version of Trimble Perspective is 3.2.2.2167. The latest firmware versions for the X-series laser scanners are as follows, Trimble X7 (2.5.100), Trimble X9 (1.0.2.0370) and Trimble X12 (10.0.1.11608).

Resolved issues

  • Diagnostics: Incorrect angular measurement value shown in report for the X9

  • Registration: Resolved missing rotation manipulator for registration

  • Warranty Information: Added warranty information in the About section

  • Warranty Notification: Option to make notification disappear for 30 days

  • PPM: Wrong previous value offered on restart after upgrading Trimble Perspective

  • Area Scans: Show More/Less detail display issue resolved

  • Filter Stations: Text disappeared when updating station selection for filtering

  • PPM UI: PPM dialogs with Chinese or Japanese text had a reduced size

  • Label Sorting: Labels and Reg. Sets are listed in a descending numerical order

  • German Translation: Wrong singular and plural status

  • Laser Pointer: Resolved laser pointer response issue after georeferencing

  • USB Driver: Inconsistent location of driver locations in the Trimble Installation Manager
