Release Notes

This section provides all release notes for the Trimble Perspective software from the version 1.1.1 release onward.

Installation Restrictions

Firmware version 1.3.3.0077 supports all X9 instruments with 8990 and 8991 serial numbers.

Downgrades to earlier versions will be prohibited on configurable X9 scanners with 8991 serial numbers.

Customers should upgrade X9 instruments running older firmware versions to benefit from the latest improvements.

Software Requirements

Trimble recommends installing Perspective version 2025.20.3021 or greater to ensure compatibility with firmware version 1.3.3.0077.

System Requirements

  • Operating system: Microsoft® Windows® 10, 11 (64 bit)

  • RAM: minimum 8 GB

  • Graphics support: OpenGL 4.4 or higher

Trimble Perspective can experience a “Blue Screen of Death” crash if Microsoft Windows - KB5053656 is installed on the Trimble T10x 2024 tablet running Trimble Perspective and graphics driver 31.0.101.6790 is installed. To avoid this crash, update the graphics driver or uninstall KB5053656.

Software Warranty

This version of Trimble Perspective is available to:

  • Perpetual license users whose warranty expiration date is October 1, 2025 or later.

    If your perpetual license warranty expires prior to this date and you proceed with the installation, licensed features will not be included.

  • Subscription license users whose subscription is currently active.

If necessary, you can contact your distributor to purchase a warranty extension or renew your subscription. In the Perspective menu, select About to view your warranty or subscription expiration date.
