Radio Configuration
Select Radio / Radio Configuration.
Parameters for all radios
Turn On/Off Radio – Switches the radio on/off.
900 MHz Radio parameters
Country Code Management - This menu is available if the receiver does not have the Base Station transmitting mode installed. It affects the receive-only capabilities. The options are:
-
Australia
-
United States
-
New Zealand
General Configuration Management – Set up the following fields:
-
Radio Mode – Set the internal radio to transmit, receive, or to be used as a repeater.
-
Network ID – Enter the Network number for a 900 MHz radio. The Network ID can be from 1 through 40.
-
RF Power level – For 400 MHz radios, you can set the receiver to 0.5, 1, or 1.5 watts. For 900 MHz radios, you can set the receiver to 0.5 Watt or 1 Watts.
450 MHz Radio parameters
Country Code Management – Indicates the country configuration.
Channel Bandwidth Management – Set the Channel Spacing (kHz). The options are 25 or 12.5 kHz. However, the firmware makes logical choices depending on the country code. Contact your Trimble dealer if this needs changing. The base and rover receivers must have the same country code selected.
General Configuration Management – Set up the following fields:
-
Radio Mode – Set the internal radio to transmit, receive, or repeat.
-
Current Channel (MHz) – Select the current channel for the internal radio to operate on.
-
Wireless Mode – Select the current wireless mode for the internal radio.
-
RF Power level – If your receiver has an internal 450 MHz radio installed, you can set the receiver to 0.5 Watt or 2 Watts.
-
Enable call sign – This is a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) requirement for USA licensed users. This sets your radio to transmit your call sign in Morse code every 15 minutes.
Receive-only Channel Management – Add or delete radio frequencies.
The ability to add or delete 450 MHz UHF radio frequencies only applies to Receive frequencies. If new frequencies are required, contact your Trimble dealer.
-
Frequency Range (MHz) – Identifies the frequency range that the internal radio operates in.
-
Add Channel – Enter a valid frequency, which meets the rules bounded by the available frequencies for the radio and the value in the Tuning Step field. When a frequency is added, the value in the Current Number Used field increments.
-
Delete Channel – Select a receive frequency from the list to remove it.
