Ionospheric Map
The map shows the latest image of Ionosphere Scintillation values. The data for this map comes from the Trimble global network of stations.
Ionosphere Scintillation refers to the irregularities in the ionosphere caused by space weather. Ionosphere scintillation follows the "solar cycle", which is affected by maximum sunspot activity. Scintillation affects GNSS signals, therefore causing irregularities and fluctuations that result in errors—the higher the level of scintillation, the greater the errors.
