USB RNDIS

The Remote Network Driver Interface Specification (RNDIS) is a Microsoft® proprietary protocol used mostly on top of USB. It provides a virtual Ethernet link to most versions of the Windows®, Linux, and FreeBSD operating systems.

Generally, for receivers with USB RNDIS capability, when connected to a PC or laptop using a USB cable, the receiver can be accessed using the IP address of http://192.168.144.1. The third byte of the IP address can be configured and defaults to 144. If you change it to something else, for example, 154, you must use http://192.168.154.1 to access the receiver after it is restarted.

Note that you must restart the receiver after for the changes to take effect.
