Connecting a Nomad controller

The Nomad can be used as a controller for the RTS Series total station.

Servo and Autolock mode

A Nomad controller can be connected to the RTS Series total station with a cable or by use of the Bluetooth wireless technology.

Connecting with cable

The Nomad is connected from the RTS Series total station COM port to the DB9 connector on the Nomad using cable part number 53002021.

Connecting with Bluetooth wireless technology

CAUTION – Before starting the Bluetooth device, make sure that the regulations of the country that you are working in allows the use of Bluetooth wireless technology.

The Nomad has built-in Bluetooth wireless technology.

Connecting with external radio

The Nomad is connected to the instrument via the external 2,4 GHz radio using the Nomad’s DB9 connector.
