Pre-measurement checklist

Before you begin measurement or stake out operations, check the following items:

  • Lenses are clean

  • Instrument is correctly leveled

  • Collimation error

  • Tracker collimation error (if the instrument is equipped with Autolock capability)

  • Trunnion axis tilt

  • Correct radio channel channel is selected (robotic measurements only)

  • Laser Pointer beam alignment

  • Measure instrument height

  • Allow sufficient time for the instrument to adjust to the ambient temperature, see Measurement stability.
