Trimble controller
A Trimble controller, for example a TSC7 or TSC5, can be used as a controller for the instrument.
The controller can use different methods to communicate with the instrument:
| A | Cable connected to the instrument. |
| B | Bluetooth wireless technology. |
| C | Radio, with robotic instruments. |
Connecting with a cable
The controller is connected from the instrument com port to the USB connector on the controller using cable part number 73840001.
Connecting with Bluetooth wireless technology
The controller has integrated Bluetooth wireless technology. Refer to the field software documentation regarding how to activate and set up the Bluetooth device.
Connecting with a radio
A robotic instrument is equipped with a radio that can communicate with the controller through the integrated radio.
The radios must be set to the same channel to establish communication. The radio channel for the instrument radio can be set in the following ways:
