Operational safety
SiteVision is frequently used on construction sites. Make sure you follow the recommended safety procedures for your work environment.
CAUTION – Because it mixes the real and digital worlds, SiteVision can impair the operator’s field of vision and hide obstructions that may cause harm.
-
Use SiteVision in environments where it is safe to do so.
-
Always be aware of your surroundings.
CAUTION – Trimble recommends that before you use SiteVision in the field, you:

Plan a path of travel and areas of interest.

Identify and either minimize or eliminate potential hazards.
-
Ensure others on site know that the device is in use.

Remain aware of your surroundings.
-
Keep a note of physical object vs Augmented Objects.
-
Stop and look rather than walk and look.

Be aware of machinery, site exclusion zones, site vehicles and identified hazards.
CAUTION – A hazard spotter is recommended to watch the user who is operating SiteVision in case of unexpected dangers on the work site.
