Operational safety

SiteVision is frequently used on construction sites. Make sure you follow the recommended safety procedures for your work environment.

CAUTION – Because it mixes the real and digital worlds, SiteVision can impair the operator’s field of vision and hide obstructions that may cause harm.

  • Use SiteVision in environments where it is safe to do so.

  • Always be aware of your surroundings.

CAUTION – Trimble recommends that before you use SiteVision in the field, you:

  • Plan a path of travel and areas of interest.

  • Identify and either minimize or eliminate potential hazards.

  • Ensure others on site know that the device is in use.

  • Follow all work site health and safety requirements, including personal protection equipment.

Additionally, during use:

  • Remain aware of your surroundings.

  • Keep a note of physical object vs Augmented Objects.

  • Stop and look rather than walk and look.

  • Be aware of machinery, site exclusion zones, site vehicles and identified hazards.

CAUTION – A hazard spotter is recommended to watch the user who is operating SiteVision in case of unexpected dangers on the work site.
