Placing a model

In SiteVision, there are three ways to position a model on site:

• Marker. This is the recommended method for model placement. It requires QR Markers to be created within the digital model at known locations. Physical printouts of the Markers are then placed in the corresponding real world location. Once this Marker network is established, the model can be accurately positioned by simply scanning the nearest Marker.

• Manual. Placement is by using gestures on the screen and the augmented reality technology on your mobile device.

• Component. A placement method designed for fabricators working on construction components in a workshop environment. This method includes a search feature to isolate a specific assembly or spool, along with a 3-point placement workflow to align the model to the physical component. This method is disabled by default; you can enable it in the Display Settings.
