Creating and importing custom symbols
When you use SketchUp to create a new symbol, make sure the model is centered on the origin, including within the components or groups.
The default symbols are always updated when SiteVision starts.
Do not change the default symbol files; instead create your own symbols. If required, you can copy a default symbol to use as a base to create your own. If you edit the default symbols, your changes will be overwritten when the default symbols are updated when SiteVision starts.
To create your own symbols:
-
Design a symbol using Trimble SketchUp or download one using SketchUp 3D Warehouse.
-
Save the model as a .SKP
-
Connect your device to your PC and navigate to yourDevice/Android/data/com.trimble.sitevisionAR/files/Symbols.
-
Copy-paste your symbols into this folder.
