Background/Project Map

A VCL file can be used as a project background map, similar to a DXF/DWG file. This is a separate VCL file from any VCL designs or avoidance zone files.

While creating a new site, you can select a VCL file as the "project map” file. If the project is already created, copy the VCL file into the project’s root folder. All the linework within the VCL file appears as the background linework.

Only the linework from the Project Map VCL file will be displayed in the map views when the project is loaded; alignments and text data are not displayed. The linework in the project map cannot be selected or interacted with. This is the same behavior as with DXF/DWG files currently used as project maps.
