Updates are downloaded automatically to the device via the internet. A notification will be displayed when a new update is available to install.

Operating system and security updates

Periodically, operating system and software application updates will be available for your device.

The Android operating system is updated automatically. You can also update it through Play Store. There is no operating system download file for Android devices.

Security updates are deployed to devices from the Google Over the Air (GOTA) server, over Wi-Fi or WWAN.

Trimble software updates

To update Trimble applications and software (for example, Trimble Access), use the Trimble Installation Manager app that is installed on your device. Additional material and information on Trimble apps can be found at help.fieldsystems.trimble.com.
