administrative layering convention project file

A project file that you might create and maintain specifically in which to establish your organization’s standard layering convention and the library of materials, site improvements and related costs that you might employ in performing takeoffs. It is in conjunction with that project file that you will be able to create and maintain the external material and site improvement library (*.mxl file), which you will use to contain the entire set of construction material definitions, site improvement definitions, standardized layer names and properties, layer/takeoff category relationships, and layer/site improvement assignments.
