Swap Surface Triangles
Use the Swap Surface Triangles command to switch the edge between two triangles to use the opposite vertices. Changing the formation of triangle edges can help when working to design specific slopes, such as for hydraulic flow considerations.

Prerequisites:
To access the command:
- Select Swap Surface Triangles in Surfaces > Create.
To switch the edge between two surface triangles:
- Select the surface that the triangles are part of in the Surface list.
- From the Triangle to swap box, pick the triangle edge that you want to swap in the Plan View. Alternately, you can type in a coordinate along the triangle edge and click Apply.
The two triangles that shared the edge are reformed to draw the edge between the previously unused vertices.
Scenario:
- If a triangle edge touches a breakline or drapeline, it cannot be swapped. Remember that some imported surfaces (such as from a .ttm or LandXML file) are composed entirely of internal data (which in this case are breaklines), so none of the triangle edges can be swapped.
