Edit Zone Naming Settings
If you are transferring a corridor mass haul plan to WorksOS, use the Edit Zone Naming Settings command to classify mass haul earthworks zones into different areas or costs. Edit the name given to the mass haul earthworks zones by adding a prefix to all earthworks zones that fall within a specified station range.
Prerequisites:
- License; See the Subscription Plans page. For a license matrix by command, see the License page in the TBC Community. Also see View and manage licensed features.
- Corridor
- Balanced mass haul
To access the command:
- Select Edit Zone Naming Settings.
- Right-click a corridor in the Project Explorer, and select Edit Zone Naming Settings from the context menu.
To edit mass haul zone names:
- In the Corridor list select the corridor used to generate the mass haul data you are transferring to WorksOS.
- In the table, type the prefix to apply to mass haul earthwork zone names and the station range where you want these applied. Make sure station ranges do not overlap.
Note: Press the key to move through the table and type values in the cells. This will automatically update the start station in the current row with the end station from the previous row.
- Click Apply.
- When a mass haul plan is published to WorksOS, the cut and fill zone names will have the specified prefix.
The start station of the mass haul earthworks zone is used to determine which station range the zone is within.
Scenarios:
- If the start station of the master earthworks zone falls on the edge of two station ranges, the prefix from the second station range is used.
For example, for the edit zone naming settings shown in the table below, an earthworks zone from station 560 to 1510 would have a prefix Cost1_added to its zone name while a zone from station 5000 to 5672 would have a prefix of Cost3_ added to it's zone name.
