Create Points along Drill Holes (Planned or As-Drilled)

Use the Generate Designed Points command to create points along each planned drill hole at the rock surface point, design point, and end point.

Prerequisites:

To access the command:

  • Right-click a drill plan and select Generate Designed Points.

Each set of related points (e.g., all end points) is placed on a unique new layer. You can then create a surface from each of these layers, as needed.

Use the Generate As-Drilled Points command to create points along each drilled hole at the start point, end point, and at the top of each material strata that was logged when drilling.

To access the command:

  • Right-click a drill plan that has as-drilled results from the field, and select Generate As-Drilled Points.

Each set of related points (e.g., all clay stratum points) is placed on a unique new layer. You can then create a surface from each of these layers, as needed.

Dependencies:

  • None; once you create the points, the drill holes can be deleted without affecting the points.
