Macro Community

Trimble Business Center supports a programming interface that enables users with a Survey Advanced Edition (or higher) license to both run the macro commands delivered with TBC and, optionally, create new macro commands they can run just like native TBC commands. Using Trimble Macro Language (TML) users with at least some programming skills can code most of the same operations as a Trimble TBC programmer. They can add a command, include an icon, add it to a ribbon, run it from the Command pane, and even add help.

The Macro Community command provides a link to the TBC Macros and Extensions Community website where you can search for the latest macro and extension content, ask a question, view answers, or start a discussion. This is the place to engage your colleagues using beta macros to share your wisdom.

Notes:

  • A Survey Advanced Edition license is not required to access and navigate the TBC Macros and Extensions Community website. So feel free to visit and take a look around, even if you do not have an appropriate license. If you are interested in upgrading to a Survey Advanced Edition license, contact your dealer.
  • For instructions on using any of the macro commands delivered with TBC and available on the Macros ribbon tab (with a Survey Advance Edition license), click the command, click in the resulting command pane, and press F1.
