Create Surface Intersection Lines

Use the Create Surface Intersection Lines command to create linestrings that connect the intersections of two surfaces (as illustrated by the blue lines in the following example).

Prerequisites:

To create surface intersection lines:

  1. Select Create Surface Intersection Lines in Surfaces > Create to display the Create Surface Intersection Lines command pane.
  2. Make any changes in the Line Settings fields as necessary.

    The Name field is optional. If used, all intersection lines created will have this name.

  3. In the Surfaces group, select the two intersecting surfaces for which you want to create linestrings.

    Note: The toolbar in the Create Surface Intersection Lines command pane includes handy shortcuts to several surface-related commands.

  4. Click Apply.
