variance group
A variance group provides custom weighting for each kind of observation included in a least-squares network adjustment.
User-defined variance groups
In addition to the predefined variance groups included in TBC, which are automatically assigned to GNSS vectors based on the vector type, you can create your own custom user-defined variance groups and select to assign them to vectors instead, based on your specific needs.
You can create your own custom variance groups in the Project Settings > Network Adjustment > Variance Groups folder.
User-defined variance groups are displayed as GNSS vectors on the Weighting tab in the Adjust Network command pane. Here you can enter a Scalar value for each as necessary.
You can select a user-defined variance group for each GNSS vector in the vector's Properties pane and in the Vector Spreadsheet. In addition, variance groups are displayed in the Vector List Report.
