Edit a Mission

The Register a Mission feature also provides a way to improve the trajectories of a mission initially registered. The improvement can be run, not by incrementing each time the adjusted trajectories but by editing the same (imported) trajectories.

To edit the trajectories of a mobile mapping mission:

  1. In the Project Explorer, select an already registered mission.
  2. Select Register a Mission in Mobile Mapping > Processing to display the Register a Mission command pane.

TBC reloads the parameters of the initial registration:

    - The registration type used.
    - For the instances of ground control points (GCPs):

    - The optimization option(s) (Use XY, or Use Z, or As Check).
    - The paired targets.

Note that the adjusted trajectories, and the selected and updated targets resulting from the initial registration have the names below:

    - RegistrationName for the adjusted trajectories.
    - RegistrationName_GCPName_RunName for the picked targets.
    - RegistrationName_GCPName_RunName* for the updated targets.

Note: TBC displays a dialog if the loaded registration contains some missing points, either ground control points (GCPs) or targets.

  3. Do one of the following:

    - Add on top of the initial registration, some more sets of pairs of ground control points (GCP) and targets:

    - With the same registration type.
    - Or with a different registration type.

    - Remove an existing pair.
    - Modify an existing pair by picking a new target to replace the previous one.
  4. Press Compute. As a result, a set of adjusted trajectories (in blue) and a set of updated targets are displayed in the Plan View.
  5. Press Reset to reset to the initial registration, meaning that:

    - A modified target is restored to the initial picked position.
    - All added pairs (instances of ground control points (GCPs) and targets) are removed.
    - All deleted pairs (instances of ground control points (GCPs) and targets) are restored.
    - For the instances of ground control points (GCPs), the followings are restored to:

    - The initial optimization option choices, if they have been changed.
    - The initial (As Check) choice, if it has been changed.
  6. Press Apply.

    - New trajectories are created in the TBC database, and appear nested beneath each involved Run node in the Project Explorer, as adjusted trajectories based on the initial (imported) trajectories.
    - New targets are created in the TBC database, and appear nested beneath the Points node in the Project Explorer:

    - RegistrationName_GCPName_RunName for the picked targets.
    - RegistrationName_GCPName_RunName* for the updated targets.
