Display Mobile Mapping Rectified Camera Views

In TBC, 360° panoramic images from a Trimble MX series mobile mapping system can be unstitched into six separate and rectified images. These images are flat and typically represent different directions of the 360° camera. Users can view these rectified images individually or simultaneously, with each image displayed in its own specific viewer.

To display a rectified camera view:

  1. In the Project Explorer, select a Run.
  2. Select Rectified Camera Views in the context menu. The Rectified Camera Views panel opens.
  3. From the drop-down list, choose a camera view (such as Front-right, Front-left, etc.) or select All to view every camera angle, then click OK. The Rectified View will display:
    • The rectified image from the first mobile mapping station in the run.
    • All 360° camera positions (Camera Markers) for the selected run. These markers are color-coded based on the run they belong to and are visible in all open graphic views.
    • A graphical indicator in the Plan View (or 3D View) showing the camera’s field-of-view and direction.

Note: The chosen view will be removed from the drop-down list after it is selected.

  4. Navigate through the selected run by:
    • Clicking on a specific camera position in a Rectified View to move to that location across all views.
    • Using the pop-up menu to jump to the next, previous, first, or last camera position.
    • Customizing keyboard shortcuts to move between camera positions by a set increment (see Mobile Mapping Options).
    • Selecting a specific camera and centering it in the Plan View and 3D View.
  5. Click Close Views to close all opened Rectified Views.
