Import Trimble FieldLink Files (.tflx)
Import data in a TFLX file from Trimble FieldLink, which is a layout file that can contain points, lines, and arcs. The points can be design, control, or staked (layout) points that specify if the point was staked in or out of tolerance.
Prerequisites:
- None.
To import a TFLX file:
- Follow the steps in Import Data.
or
- Use the Connected Workspace.
Note: The supported data types may depend on your license level (Core vs Pro).

Data in the file |
How the data is handled when imported |
| 2D line, polyline |
Polylines import as separate 2D CAD lines (e.g., a 3-segment polyline becomes 3 single-segment lines); vertices are converted into points at the line end points. |
| 3D line, polyline |
As above, polylines import as separate 3D CAD lines; vertices are converted into points at the line end points. |
| Arc, circle |
Same as 2D and 3D lines above. |
| Points, layout points |
Included in the TFLX file. If as-build data is captured, the points are shown as green, red, or grey for in tolerance, out of tolerance, and no data collected, respectively. |
