Rename Points
Rename points to ensure all the points in your project are unique. For example, if two rovers are set to automatic point numbering and contain identical points, use the Rename Points command to renumber one set of points. Points to be renamed can be selected before the command starts or within the command.
You can rename your points:
- Sequentially from a specific value
- By adding a prefix
- By adding a suffix
- By adding a constant
Prerequisites:
- one or more points
To rename points:
- Do one of the following:
- Select Rename Points in Survey > COGO.
- Right-click an as-staked point in the Project Explorer, and select Rename Points from the context menu.
The Rename Points dialog displays.
- In the Methodgroup, select a renaming option (see descriptions below).
- If you do not want to generate a report, uncheck Report.
- Select the points to rename.
- To preview the results, click
icon.
