site map

A file showing the location of features and boundaries that is used as a visual reference on site controllers in the field. Site maps usuaslly show site limits and other objects that a supervisor or field worker needs for reference: nearby roads, utility easements, etc. Site maps are not selectable and their layers cannot be turned on/off. Site maps were formerly known as "background maps".
