View a Work Order's Data Graphically

Use the Work Order Viewer to verify that the correct site and design data has been provided with a work order; it displays the same graphical view of the data that site controller software (SCS) will display in the field.

Prerequisites:

To view a work order's data graphically:

  1. If you have just created a work order, the Work Order Editor is already displayed. Otherwise, do one of the following:
    • Select View Work Order.
    • Select a work order in the Project Explorer, right-click and select View Work Order from the context menu.

    The Work Order Viewer displays.

  2. Review the site and design data in the Map view to confirm that it is complete and appropriate for the work order.

Note: Although the Work Order Viewer can display Arc, Best fit arc, and Tangent arc segments in a linestring, it cannot display Smooth curve segments. Each spline is displayed as a straight segment in the viewer.
Warning: Due to the limitation noted above, the data you export to SCS900 will differ from your project data if it contains Smooth curve segments.

  3. Check boxes to show and hide different types of data in the Display options group, and use the zoom buttons to scale the view.
For definitions of the data types in check boxes, see the glossary entries for the data types. For coverage map options, see Work Order Viewer Options.
  4. To control the visibility of layers both in the Work Order Viewer and in the site map in SCS, click Layer Filter. In the Design Map Layer Filter dialog, check boxes for the layers you want to show, and uncheck boxes for the layers to hide. Click OK to return to the Work Order Viewer.
  5. Click Close to return to the Work Order Editor.
