data synchronization area

A folder structure (installed on the office computer's hard drive) that contains site settings and data, design data, and work orders in a file structure that the Trimble site controller software can use. Some apps use the data synchronization area to exchange files between the office software and the site controller software so that they are synchronized. Technically, the data synchronization area is known as the 'synchronizer root folder'.
