Import Wirth YXZ Files (.yxz)

Import cross-section data in a Wirth YXZ (.yxz) file to create a surface. To import a file, follow the instructions in Import Data. In the import settings for Wirth files, you can specify whether the points should create stored cross-sections or breaklines.

Note: If you plan to send the data to a GCS machine as a road definition (.dc) file, then you should import the data as cross-sections. If you then associate the resulting surface with an alignment and set the Alignment-based property to Yes, do not densify the surface; densification creates variable numbers of points in cross-sections, as well as additional points between cross-sections which interferes with .dc output.
