Possible CausePaths to Microsoft Excel files are limited to 219 characters. Therefore, if the path to the SCS report utility file (named "SCS900 Reporting Utility.xls" or "SCS Report Utility.xls") exceeds the character limit, the file will not open. In most cases, this will happen only if the .xls file has been placed in the My Documents directory. SolutionMove Excel (.xls) files to locations with shorter paths (fewer subfolders) and/or rename files with shorter names. Note: Unzipping a folder to a location within several folders could exceed maximum path character limits, preventing deeper files from being unzipped. There may be a warning that the files cannot be unzipped or the windows may simply close, making it look like they were all unzipped. It may be best to unzip files directly to the C drive with full administrative rights. |
