Add New Trimble IP-Enabled Receivers
If you have access to the Trimble IP-enabled receivers you want to use in your survey, you can automatically connect and download the raw GNSS data from the receivers for use in your project.
To add a new Trimble IP-enabled receiver:
- In the Internet Download pane, clickthe Internet Download Configuration icon on the toolbar.
- In the Internet Download Configurationdialog, select the Reference Stations group in the Providers list.
If there is more than one Reference Stations group, select the one to which you want to add the new receiver.
- Click the button.
- In the New Site dialog, select the Enter the details manually option and click OK.
- In the New Site Properties dialog, enter a name for the new receiver in the Site Name field on the Providers tab.
Note that when you add a new Trimble IP-enabled receiver, you must also select the session available on the receiver from which you want to download data. If the receiver includes multiple sessions that you want to use, you must add the receiver multiple times, selecting a different session each time. In this case, be sure to use a site name for each receiver/session combination that includes information identifying both the receiver and the session (for example, "Receiver 2 with 5 sec data").
- Click the URL Wizard button.
- In the URL Wizard dialog, complete the wizard as described in URL Wizard Options. When you are done, click OK.
The Manual Connection and Automatic Connection fields on the Providers tab in the in the New Site Properties dialog are complete. If you entered login information in the wizard, that information is displayed on the Security tab.
- Optionally, complete any or all of the other fields in the New Site Properties dialog (see New Provider Options for instructions).
- Click
The new receiver is displayed in the Providers list in the Internet Download Configuration dialog.

Tip: Once you have added the web sites you need to your list of providers, the site information is saved in a file named INetDownload.xml
. Share your list of sites with colleagues by copying this .xml file from your computer into the equivalent directory in their computers. The location of this file depends on your operating system:
In Windows® XP or earlier: C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\(software brand name)\(software product name)\(version number)\
In Windows Vista or Windows 7: C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\(software brand name)\(software product name)\(version number)\
