Inserting and removing the battery, and an optional SIM card and SD card

The SIM card and its contents can be easily damaged by scratches or bending. Use caution when inserting or removing the card.

The presence of any dust or moisture in the SIM card slot may adversely affect the device and void your warranty. To prevent dust or moisture entering the SIM card slot, when inserting or removing a SIM card, place the handheld on a dust-free indoor surface.

Static electricity can harm electronic components inside your handheld. To prevent static damage, discharge static electricity from your body before you touch any of the electronic components inside your device, such as a memory module. You can do so by touching an unpainted metal surface.

There is a risk of fire and burns if the battery is handled improperly. DO NOT disassemble, crush, puncture, or short-circuit external contacts, or dispose of the battery pack in fire or water. DO NOT attempt to open or service the battery. Dispose of used batteries according to local recycling guidelines in your area.

To ensure the device is working properly, keep all connectors away from contaminants such as dust, grease, mud, and water. Negligence may cause the device to lose communication, short-circuit, or overheat. If the connector is damaged, ensure the connector is fully repaired before using the device to avoid short-circuiting.

To remove the battery:

  1. Press in and hold the two plastic clips at the end of the battery.

  2. Push the battery forward and lift to remove it.

To insert a SIM card and an SD card:

  1. Pull out the nanoSIM / microSD card holder.

    The card holder can hold two nanoSIM cards, or one nanoSIM card and one microSD card at a time. Insert your cards as needed, as follows:

    • Two nanoSIM cards:

    • One nanoSIM card, one microSD card:

  2. Align the card holder with the slot, and push it fully in. Make sure the cards stay flat while pushing the card holder back into the slot.

To install the battery:

  1. Align the battery with the battery compartment, as shown below:

  2. Press in and hold the two plastic clips at the end of the battery, then push the battery forward and down into the battery compartment.

  3. Press the battery down to secure it in place.
