Resetting the handheld to factory settings

You can factory-reset the TDC600 handheld if you forget the password that you use to lock the device, or to delete all of your personal data from the handheld's internal storage, system and app settings, and any downloaded apps.

A factory reset erases all the applications installed and data produced since the first startup.

To protect the device in case of theft, your Google account is not erased.

  • There is no hardware button to reset the device.

  • Performing a factory data reset does not delete any system software updates.

  • Performing a factory data reset does not delete any Google accounts you have set up on the device.

  1. On the Home screen, tap Settings, then tap System.

  2. Tap Advanced to expand the advanced settings.

  3. Tap Reset options. There are options here to reset network settings, app preferences, or perform a factory reset.

  4. To perform a factory reset, tap Erase all data (factory reset) then follow the on-screen instructions. You will be prompted to Erase all data twice, then a screen will indicate that the device has started to reset data.
