Version 2024.11 of the Trimble Access software is available from December 2024.
These Release Notes describe the new features and changes available in this release of the
Resolved issues
-
Updated files not triggering update notification: We have fixed an issue where Trimble Access did not always show a notification that files on the controller needed updating after changes were made to the files in Trimble Connect.
-
Automatic download updates interval: When Automatically download updates is enabled in the Cloud settings screen, Trimble Access now checks for file changes every 5 minutes, not every 15 minutes.
This setting will not automatically change to 5 minutes when upgrading Trimble Access to version 2024.11. To change this setting after upgrading, delete the SyncSettings.xml file from the System files folder. Trimble Access will automatically recreate the SyncSettings.xml file with the new interval time of 5 minutes the next time you run the Trimble Access software.
-
Favorites and functions: We have fixed an issue where upgrading to Trimble Access version 2024.10 would remove all saved Favorites and Function key shortcuts. Upgrading to version 2024.11 from Trimble Access version 2024.01 or earlier will retain all saved Favorites and Function key short cuts.
-
LandXML files exported from Gemini: We have fixed an issue in Trimble Access 2024.10 where the elevation values for some of the strings and the surfaces defined by those strings in files exported from Gemini software using the LandXML 3D Lines or the VisualMachine LandXML file type were incorrect. The elevation values of the alignment itself were correct.
-
TIF files: We have fixed an issue where TIFF files using ZIP compression were not being displayed in the map on Trimble controllers running Android.
-
Offset screen during stakeout: We have fixed an issue where the stakeout Offset screen remained full-screen on portrait displays, obscuring the map.
-
Utility locators: We have fixed these issues when connecting to a utility locator:
-
We have fixed an issue where Trimble Access version 2024.10 could not connect to a Radio Detection RD8100 cable and pipe locator or a Vivax Metrotech vLoc3-Pro receiver using Bluetooth.
-
When the job is configured to use a measurement unit that is not meters, the Depth value is now shown correctly in the selected units in the Attribute field of the Trimble Access software, and is now exported in the selected units.
-
-
TDC6 connection to FOCUS 35: We have fixed an issue where the TDC6 handheld would not connect to a FOCUS 35 total station over Bluetooth.
-
Application errors: We have fixed several issues that caused occasional application errors when using or closing the software. In particular:
-
When starting IBSS when connected to the receiver using Wi-Fi.
-
When using a Trimble S Series total station that has VISION technology and switching between forms that are tiled with video and those that are not, or closing forms that are tiled with video.
-
When staking out during an RTK survey using the Trimble Access Land Seismic app.
