To rotate, scale, or translate points

Rotate, scale, and translate transformations change the stored coordinates of a point. Only points that can be displayed as grid coordinates can be transformed.

  1. Tap and select Cogo / Transformations.
  2. Select Rotate / scale / translate points. Tap Next.
  3. To rotate a selection of points about a specified origin point, select Rotate.
  4. To scale the distances between the origin point and the selected points, select Scale.
  5. To move a selection of points on a grid surface, select Translate.
  6. Tap Next.
  7. Fill out the fields required for the selected transformation method(s). Tap Next.
  8. Select the point(s) to transform.

Points selected in the map automatically populate the list of points to be transformed. To add points to the list, see Selecting points.

If you select a base point to be transformed, then vectors flowing from this base become null.

  9. Tap Accept.
  10. To start the transformation, tap OK.

When performing more than one transformation, the order is always rotate, scale, then translate.

  11. Tap OK.
