To configure a base dial‑in data link

  1. Tap and select Settings / Survey styles. Select the required survey style. Tap Edit.
  2. Select Base data link.
  3. Set the Type field to Dial‑in.

  4. From the GNSS contact field, tap the field menu (right arrow) button to access the GNSS contacts form. Select a GNSS contact from the list or create a new contact.

    You can also enter the GNSS contact name for a contact that you have already configured.

    The GNSS Contact list is filtered according to the contact type.

  5. To display the GNSS contact that is configured in the survey style, or change the GNSS contact when you start the survey, select the Prompt for GNSS contact check box.

  6. If you are using the modem inside the receiver, select the port that the controller will connect to in the Receiver port field and if required edit the Baud rate and Parity settings.
  7. If you are using the modem inside another device such as a mobile phone:
    1. Select the port that the device will connect to in the Receiver port field and if required edit the Baud rate and Parity settings.
    2. Select the Hardware flow control check box to enable the controller to know when to receive data from the device and when to send data to the device.
  8. Tap Accept.
