To create a GNSS contact for a rover dial‑in data link

1. Tap and select Settings / Connections / GNSS contacts.
2. Tap New.
3. Enter the contact Name.
4. Set the Contact type to Dial‑in rover.

5. In the Number to dial field, enter the phone number of the modem connected to the base receiver.

   To send a short delay, for example to separate the area code from the number, enter a comma (,).

6. If required, edit the commands shown in these fields:
   • The Hang up field shows the command for ending communication. By default, this is set to ATH0.
   • The Dial prefix field shows the command for initiating the dialing of the phone number. By default, this is set to ATD.
7. If required, enter the following commands:
   • Enter the Modem PIN.
   • In the Init string field enter the initial command to start communication and set up the modem options.

   • In the Dial suffix field enter the command to send to the modem after dialing the phone number.

     The dial prefix, phone number, and dial suffix values are concatenated to send to the modem.

   • In the Post connect field, enter any information that must be sent from the rover to the base once the connection is established. Usually this is the username and password.

     To send a carriage return and a 3-second delay to the base system, for example to separate the username from the password, enter a caret (^).

   • If the rover must supply identification information through regular NMEA messages to the base data server, select the Send user identity info check box. At the start of the survey, the software asks you to enter this information.
8. Tap Store.
