To stake out additional points
To stake out additional points relative to a Trimble road, start the survey and then follow the steps for your preferred workflow.

-
Tap the point to select it, or from the tap and hold menu tap Select additional point and then select the point from the list.
- If required, add the following features:
- To edit the elevation, from the tap and hold menu select Edit elevation. To reload an edited elevation, select Reload original elevation.
To define a construction offset, select Define construction offsets and then enter the required values.
The Vertical Offset value specified here is not applied to a DTM surface.
- To confirm the construction of the road surface, define a cross slope.
- To stake points on road surfaces other than the finished road surface, define a subgrade.
- Tap Start.
- Use the plan or cross section view to navigate to the point. See Stakeout navigation.
-
When the point is within tolerance, tap Measure to measure the point. When using a Trimble SX12 scanning total station in TRK mode with the laser pointer enabled, the Stakeout screen shows the Mark point softkey instead of the Measure softkey. Tap Mark point to put the instrument into STD mode. The laser pointer stops flashing and moves to position itself at the EDM location. When you tap Accept to store the point, the instrument automatically returns to TRK mode and the laser pointer resumes flashing. To remeasure and update the stakeout deltas, tap Measure after you tap Mark point and before you tap Accept. For more information, see EDM settings.

- In the Stakeout screen, select Additional points from the Stake field.
- Enter a value in the Antenna height or Target height field and make sure that the Measured to field is set correctly.
- Select the position to stake. To select the next or previous position in the file, tap the Next or Prev softkey.
- If required, enter a new elevation in the Design elevation field. To revert to the original elevation, tap
and select Reload original elevation.
- To define a construction offset, enter values in the Construction offsets fields.
-
