To capture a snapshot from the video screen
- Connect to the instrument.
-
Complete a station setup.
If you have set up a Trimble SX10 or SX12 scanning total station on a non‑coordinated point, create a scan station instead of performing a standard station setup.
Completing a station setup ensures that images can be correctly matched to point data in the Trimble Business Center or Trimble RealWorks Survey software. If you capture an image without completing a station setup, there is no orientation information stored with the image.
-

- Tap
to:
- Configure photo properties such as file name and image size.

-
To capture the image, tap
.
If tracking is turned on and the instrument is locked to a prism, do not move the prism while the image is being captured. Otherwise, you could capture the wrong image, and the wrong orientation information will be stored with that image.
-
Tap Store.
Depending on the image storage options you selected, the image may appear before it is saved and you can draw on it or annotate it with comments. If Autostore snapshot is not enabled, then the image appears and you can add linework and text to it if required.
The image is saved to the <job name> Files folder.
