To disconnect and reconnect to the GNSS internet source
If you lose the connection to the GNSS internet source when using an internet data link, tap the GNSS internet source icon in the status bar.
The Rover data link screen appears.
If the GNSS internet source is the controller's internal modem, tap Connect in the Rover data link screen. The operating system Networks tab opens from the system tray. Use the Networks tab to re‑establish the internet connection, and when that connection is re‑established Trimble Access will automatically reconnect to the base.
If the internet remains connected, but the link to the base data server is disconnected, tap Retry in the "Base station data connection closed unexpectedly" message. Trimble Access will then attempt to reconnect to the base data server. Alternatively, if you wish to reconnect at a later time, tap OK in the "Base station data connection closed unexpectedly" message. When you want to reconnect, tap Connect in the Rover data link screen.
If the GNSS internet source is an external modem, such as the receiver's modem, tap Redial to have the external modem re‑establish its internet connection. When that connection is established, Trimble Access will automatically reconnect to the base.
When using an external modem, to end the connection at any time, tap Hang up. Continue the survey and then reconnect to the internet when required. The connection can be hung up in the Rover data link screen only when the connection was established when you started the survey. However, you can always redial the connection from within the Rover data link screen while the survey is running.
