RTK survey data links

Real‑time kinematic surveys can use a data link to send observations or corrections from the base station to the rover. The rover then calculates its position in real time.

To check the status of the data link during an RTK survey, tap the Real-time correction icon in the status bar or the GNSS functions screen. You can configure the data link from the Data link status screen or from the Rover data link or Base data link screen in the RTK survey style.

To obtain RTK data by:

  • Radio connected to the controller and communicating with the radio at the base station, use a radio data link. See RTK radio data link.
  • Connecting to an internet server using an IP address, use an internet data link. See RTK internet data link.

Only RTK internet data links are supported with the Trimble DA2 receiver. The Rover data link screen only appears in the Survey style if the Use Trimble Corrections Hub check box is not selected in the Rover options screen.
