Panorama image settings
The available Panorama settings depend on the connected instrument.

Use the navigation controls in the video screen to change the zoom level.
The image captured is always the same as the video display on screen. Not all image sizes are available at all zoom levels.

The higher the quality of the image, the larger the file size of the captured image.

Enable Fixed exposure to fix the exposure to the settings in use at the time you tap Start.
Before you tap Start, point the instrument toward the location that defines the camera exposure that you want used for all panoramic images.
The exposure settings for the camera affect the exposure used by still images/panoramas as well as video. To access the camera settings, tap . When checking the exposure settings, make sure you are using the zoom level that matches the camera you have chosen to capture the panorama.

Enable Fixed contrast to adjust each image to the best contrast and white balance.
Before you tap Start, point the instrument toward the location that provides the best contrast.
If a high contrast area is not available (for example, you want to point the instrument at a low contrast white wall), Trimble recommends clearing the Fixed contrast check box.
The Fixed contrast setting is independent of the Fixed exposure setting. Trimble recommends the following:
- For the best contrast and good blending between adjacent images, enable HDR if it is available, and disable the Fixed exposure and Fixed contrast check boxes.
- If HDR is not available:
- For good contrast but poorer blending between adjacent images, enable the Fixed exposure check box and disable the Fixed contrast check box.
- For good blending between adjacent images but less contrast, enable both the Fixed exposure and Fixed contrast check boxes.

Enable HDR imaging to allow the instrument to capture three images rather than one image, each with different exposure settings.
During HDR processing in Trimble Business Center, the three images are combined to produce a composite image that has better tonal range to show more detail than any of the individual images.
For best results, Trimble recommends disabling the Fixed exposure and Fixed contrast check boxes when HDR is enabled.

Enter the amount the images should overlap. A higher overlap results in more tie points.
