Viewing and reviewing BIM models
You can select items in BIM models from the map and then view information about them and use them in other software functions, for example to perform a Cogo calculation, create a surface, or stake out.
To select an item from a BIM model, tap it in the map. The item you have selected is shown in blue. To select multiple items, press the Ctrl key on the controller and then tap the items in the map to select them. Depending on the enabled BIM model selection modes, you can select vertices, edges, curved edges (polyedges, such as the rim of a cylinder), or surfaces.
Items in a BIM file cannot be selected using Rectangle selection or Polygon selection.
Tap Review to view more information about the selected items.
When viewing a complex BIM model, the items you are most interested in may be hard to view because they are obscured by other objects, the model may not have well defined layers, or a layer may contain many items.
The tools in the BIM toolbar enable you to more easily isolate and view the data in the BIM model you are most interested in.
