To delete points or features
If required, you can delete points or job features (lines, arcs, or polylines) in Point manager or from the map. A deleted point or feature is not used in calculations, but it is still in the database.
If you change the name or coordinates of a record, or delete a point or feature record, the positions of other records that rely on that record could change or disappear. Make sure you have read the topic Point record changes: effects on other points and you understand the impact of your changes before you make them.
The search class for deleted points changes to Deleted (normal), Deleted (control), Deleted (staked), Deleted (backsight), or Deleted (check), depending on the original search classification.
When you delete a point or feature, the symbol used for the point or feature record changes to indicate it has been deleted. For example, for a topo point, the symbol replaces the
symbol.
The software records a note with the original point or feature record, showing the time it was deleted.
