Uploading a local project to the cloud
If you did not upload your project to the cloud when you created it in Trimble Access, you can upload the project to the cloud at any time.
Projects and jobs that reside in the cloud can be easily shared with other team members or managed from the office.
NOTE – The coordinate system and feature library is not retained when a project or job is uploaded to Trimble Connect. These must be set up in Trimble Connect after the upload is complete.
-
Tap the Sign in
icon at the top of the screen and enter your Trimble ID and password.
-
Select the project in the Projects screen. Tap
and then tap Settings to open the project settings screen.
-
Tap Upload.
The Create cloud project dialog appears.
- Select the location of the Trimble Connect file server where the project will reside. Choosing the file server for the region closest to your location gives better performance when downloading or uploading data.
-
Tap Yes.
The Upload project screen shows the progress of the upload. Any project files that are uploaded are listed.
-
Tap Accept.
In the Projects screen, the cloud icon next to the project shows
, which indicates the project in the cloud is the same as the project on the controller.
-
To upload any jobs in the project to the cloud, select the job in the Jobs page and tap
and select Upload. Once the job is uploaded, it can be viewed and managed in the office.
Changing the status of the job automatically uploads the job to the cloud. If you have enabled Automatically upload the current project in the Cloud settings, changes to the project and job will be uploaded automatically to the cloud according to your settings. See Cloud settings for data sync.
TIP – Now that the project is a cloud project, you can tap and then tap Settings and:
-
Select the Team tab to share the project with other people in your team and assign roles to the project. See Managing team members.
-
Select the IBSS tab to set up an Internet Base Station Service (IBSS) for GNSS RTK corrections your project. See Internet Base Station Service (IBSS).
