When you enable the Advanced Geodetic check box in the Cogo settings screen, you can apply an additional scale factor to every conventional station setup. All measured horizontal distances are adjusted by this scale factor. To configure the scale factor settings, select Options during a station setup, station setup plus, or resection.
This station setup scale factor can be Free (computed) or Fixed. If you have chosen to compute a station setup scale factor, you must observe at least one distance to a backsight during the station setup so that a scale factor can be calculated.
The Station setup scale factor is not applied to point clouds captured using a Trimble SX10 or SX12 scanning total station.
You can also apply a Neighborhood adjustment to all conventional foresight observations made from a Station setup plus or Resection, and to all GNSS observations made in a job that has a valid site calibration. See Neighborhood adjustment.
