Pipelines jobs
You must open a project and a job before you can measure any points or perform any calculations. This section provides information specific to Rurociągi jobs.
For general information about projects and jobs, refer to the Trimble Access Help.

Because large pipeline projects have many survey crews working on multiple sections of the pipeline at any one time, field crews typically have access to the same project but create their own jobs on the controller. Using Trimble Sync Manager to create the project and configure the pipeline properties provides a simple way to manage distributing the primary set of tally files to the controllers and then merging the updated tally files when the field crews upload their changes to the cloud.
Use Trimble Sync Manager to add the tally file, feature library and other associated files such as alignment and compute cover files when you define the pipeline properties and then upload the files to the cloud.
In Trimble Access, each field crew downloads the project and associated files from the cloud. To start work, simply create a job from the job template that was downloaded with the Rurociągi project and switch to the Rurociągi app.
When you open the job in Rurociągi, the tally files are automatically moved to the Trimble Data\Common\Tally folder.
If required, you can view and edit the options configured for the job in the Pipeline options screen in the Rurociągi app on the controller. However, usually these settings will all be configured in the office and then downloaded with the project.

Once the project has been downloaded to the controller for the first time, you must send updates to the cloud or download the latest project updates including the latest set of primary tally files using the Sync tally files function in the Rurociągi app.
While using the Upload or Download option in the Projects or Jobs screens in Trimble Access does upload/download project files including Rurociągi files, these options do not move files in and out of the Upload and Download folders in the Tally folder which means that the latest changes to the tally and joint map files are not transferred. Only the Sync tally files function uploads tally and joint map files to the cloud as well as job data and, once the uploaded changes have been merged in the office, downloads the latest project updates including the latest set of primary tally files.
