Navigate a line

The Navigate line function allows you to navigate along a polyline in the set corridor/tolerance with displayed offset values to the start point of the selected graphic.

  1. From the Measurement mode bar, tap Stakeout .
  2. Swipe left to view more of the menu and tap Navigate line .
  3. Tap Select Graphic and then tap the polyline graphic in the map.
  4. To set the acceptable corridor limits throughout the graphic for new measurements, tap Tolerance and enter the required value.
  5. Tap to begin navigating.

The navigation bar below the map shows:

    • The current offset from the polyline. A positive value indicates your position is on the right of the polyline, a negative value indicates your position is to the left of the polyline.
    • The chain value shows how far you have traveled in the current sector of the polyline. Each sector of the polyline calculates the value of the chain from 0.
  6. Use the GNSS button to take new measurements. As long as the corridor is green then your position is inside the set corridor tolerance. If the corridor is red the position is outside the set tolerance.

When taking a measurement, the tolerances are displayed for horizontal (distance from the reference graphic), chain (the position along the selected line graphic) and vertical (height) error.
