Replace method

Use this method to replace parts of the geometry of a polygon or polyline using another data collection methods: GNSS measurement, Snap to node, Free node, or the COGO functions such as Chain & Offset or Extend horizontal.

  1. In the map, select a polygon or polyline for which you will add new nodes between the first and last nodes to define the new geometry. The geometry of the selected feature must contain at least 3 nodes.

  2. In the Home screen, tap Topo and then tap Replace .

If you do not see this button in the Survey method bar, drag left across the Survey method bar to view more buttons.

  3. Tap Ref. 1 and then tap the first node of the feature, then tap Ref. 2 and tap the last node of the feature. The geometry between these nodes will be replaced.

  4. Tap Accept . If there is more than one feature selected, first select the feature using the Previous or Next buttons and then tap Accept.

  5. The section between reference node 1 and reference node 2 is highlighted in red. This is the section that will be replaced with the new correct data. Tap Toggle to choose the obsolete section to replace.

  6. Tap Accept to start data collection mode.

  7. Select the collection method and then from the marked node (indicated by a circle) start collecting the new geometry.
